Role : Hyperion Administrator

Job Summary :

The Hyperion Administrator is responsible for Administration and Enhancements of the Hyperion environments (HFM, Hyperion Planning, Essbase, FDMEE, Reports and Smart view). This is a unique opportunity to use and develop your skills to not only maintain these environments but to also assist with enhancements to meet the evolving financial reporting and analytical needs of the Finance community.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve simple to highly complex technical issues related to Hyperion Planning
• Manage process flows from the system administration perspective, providing as needed customer support, ensuring timely and accurate data submissions
• Maintain and update mapping tables, metadata and rules
• Update and develop reporting
• Support forecasts and annual budget loading and reporting processes
• Provide user support, training, documentation, and communication
• Create and modify rules for various statistical calculations as needed
• Administer security
• Other duties as assigned

Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems or relevant.
• 1-2 years of experience administrating Oracle EPM products (HFM, Essbase, FDM, Planning)
• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop documentation, training and support to end users
• Experience creating and maintaining workflows or process flows
• Ability to create and maintain financial reports
• Familiarity with data loading and integration tools
• Ability to create and update existing calc scripts, business rules, web forms, and reports
• An understanding of Hyperion Reporting products
• Ability to manage user security roles and access
• Ability to perform monthly metadata maintenance
• Two years’ experience in multi-dimensional issue resolution.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to build rapport with team members and clients.

Role : Hyperion Planning Developer

Job Summary :

The Hyperion Planning Developer is responsible for development of Hyperion Planning and Essbase systems, developing new functionality and applications needed to support Global Financial Planning and Reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with business users to define requirements and project scope
• Develop business focused technical solutions leveraging Hyperion Planning, Essbase and other EPM products
• Develop and implement applications for business based on identified requirements
• Develop key business processes to support a Hyperion Planning application
• Design the user experience from an end user budgeting and reporting perspective
• Determine data sourcing strategies and data validation approach
• Define test conditions and test scripts to ensure system stability and validity
• Provide installation, configuration and troubleshooting services
• Provide development, testing and implementation services
• Provide expertise in Hyperion Planning, Essbase and related to outlines, calculations, load rules, Web Forms, Smart Views, Security and application validation.
• Optimization of Essbase and Planning applications
• Identify high-level conceptual process improvements within the existing Hyperion applications
• Support user training, documentation and rollout

Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance or related field
• 4+ years of hands-on Hyperion Planning and Essbase experience, in a support/development environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Hyperion Essbase (ASO, BSO, Calculation Scripts, Rules, MDX, MAXL)
• Advanced knowledge of Smart view and Financial Reporting Studio
• Experience in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), FDM, ODI, ERP a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment and keep management adequately informed.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required.
• Demonstrate ability to understand and troubleshoot complex technical problems with moderate supervision.
• Basic understanding of financial statements
• Desire to be trained and learn new technologies
